Allonzo Trier found his match on Sunday.
Trier, an elite level scorer in the 2015 class, committed to Sean Miller and Arizona, while on an official visit. Trier informed Scout.com of the news.
“This visit was important,” Trier told Scout.com. “I've been here for a day now and it's a place that I really wanted to be. The visit has been great and I just thought it was time to pull the trigger.”
Miller and assistant Joe Pasternack were key parts of Trier’s decision. Miller was an assistant coach for the USA Men’s U18 National Team, which Trier played on. Trier said that helped strengthen their relationship.
“It's great,” he said of his relationship with Miller. “Even from a non-basketball standpoint it's great. He's a great guy. He talked about everything and being coached by him at USA was great. I got to build a bond with him there.”
“Coach Miller and coach Pasternack, they did a great job of coming at me and getting to know my family,” Trier said. “They built a bond. That's something I felt comfortable with.”
Trier said Pasternack picked up his interest with him following EYBL Sacramento and since he has been the coach that has recruited him the hardest.

“He relentlessly recruited me the whole time,” Trier said. “I talked to him more than any college coach. We talked numerous times. We have a great relationship and it was better than with any of the other schools.”
Trier is coming off a strong spring and summer. In five games at the Nike Peach Jam, Trier scored 30.8 points a game. He averaged eight more points a game than any other participant at Peach Jame. Trier shot 40-percent from three at the event.
Trier is ranked No. 15 overall and as the No. 2 shooting guard in the 2015 class.
Arizona now has three highly touted prospects in the 2015 class. Trier joins five-star prospects Justin Simon and Ray Smith to make up Arizona’s current three-man class

Any 4* besides chance!
Re: Five-star shooting guard Allonzo Trier
if we get rabb and comanche we'll have 5/25 of the 5 stars on rivals ratings plus ryan anderson from bc off his redshirt. that's a kentucky recruiting class but made up of less "me first" guys and more team first guys.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.
i'll just go with fuck asu.

Absolutely fantastic.
Welcome aboard Mr. Trier. Methinks you are going to have a stellar (but probably short) college career.

Re: Five-star shooting guard Allonzo Trier
I love how common these types of announcements are. Another five-star recruit? Just another day for Sean Miller.
Now to start racking up a few final fours to shut the haters up.

Wow. Our '15 class is getting insane. If Rabb joins them, we've got the top class. Again.

Re: Five-star shooting guard Allonzo Trier
Allonzo Trier is Good.
But in my book, you gotta get to White Castle before the weirdos show up!
Tonight he gets Happy-Go-Jackie on the big white guy like a donkey eating a waffle!
Sweet Sassy Molassey, get out the checkbook and pay Grandma for the rubdown!

He reminds me of Bayless a little.

Need to win a title soon, getting tired of all the haters, they seem to pile on with each recruit.

And boom goes the dynamite...again. It's fun to be an Arizona fan because you regularly get to say welcome aboard to 5 star players. So, welcome aboard!

His mom could probably get some significant minutes on the UA women's team covering her son all these years.

Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Yeah but when he decides to enter the NBA draft he will be too short and a tweener without a real position...Chicat wrote:
